This Portland-based facility is snagging up plastic hashish containers throughout the state and turning them into nursery pots and extra. P3 Distributing, situated in Portland, simply outdoors of Milwaukie, is Oregon’s most established and intensive recycling system for hashish packaging. Proprietor Patrick Caldwell began this system in hopes of mitigating plastic manufacturing by the hashish trade.
In 2015, P3 Distributing, previously Pat’s Pot Packaging, began promoting what it now recycles: plastic packaging. Rapidly, Caldwell realized the large quantity of plastic being distributed. The daddy and son duo, who began P3, determined it was essential that they take accountability for the packaging being generated by the trade. The corporate is partnered with a whole bunch of shops throughout the state — about 60% of Oregon’s dispensaries — via a DropBox program, making recycling accessible for patrons.
